Crawl Tactics is a party-based turn-based tactics game enhanced with environmental and diverse interactive elements. In Dungeon Mode, engage in challenging and strategic battles while exploring a new dungeon each time, or develop your town and train your mercenaries in Quest Mode.
History
Final version update
The Final version began as an effort to correct the abnormally strong AGI stat and the thief-class AP, rebalance the other stats, strengthen overly weak enemies, and add mod support to bring the game to completion. In addition, it introduces changes to battlefield layouts, allows free use of the Demi-Human race, and adds siege and defense events designed for large-scale battles.
Version 2 Update
At the end of 2022, after releasing Crawl Tactics, we received a large amount of player feedback. Based on this feedback, we worked hard to improve the rough graphics, inconvenient UI, unclear game mechanics, and unreasonable difficulty. As a result, Version 2 brought significant changes to graphics, difficulty, and content. In particular, we added a new mode called Quest Mode, introduced the endgame content Gate of the Abyss, and implemented a screen rotation animation.
Version 1
Development of Crawl Tactics began in 2018, before completing my first game, SFD. The core idea was to create a roguelike in the style of FTL, but instead of managing a spaceship, the focus would be on tactics-based combat within a dungeon-exploration RPG. A common issue with traditional SRPGs, including Tactics Ogre which had a strong influence on me, is that it takes a long time for players to reach the point where the true enjoyment of the game becomes clear. Because of this, I wanted the game to feel engaging from the very beginning. I also wanted Crawl Tactics to be playable without a manual, providing clear explanations through tooltips and the UI whenever possible.

- Stat balance adjustments (base movement changed from 3 to 4, Jump changed from 1 to 2, AGI stat adjusted downward)
