Crawl Tactics is a game that combines party-based turn-based tactical combat with environmental and various interactive elements, along with dungeon exploration in a roguelike format.
History
Version 2 update
After releasing Crawl Tactics at the end of 2022, we received a lot of feedback from players. Based on this feedback, we put in a lot of effort to improve the rough graphics, inconvenient UI, confusing game mechanics, and unreasonable difficulty. As a result, in Version 2, we made significant changes to the graphics, difficulty, and content.
Version 1
We began developing Crawl Tactics in 2018, before completing our first game, SFD. The core idea of the game was to create a roguelike in the style of FTL, but instead of managing a spaceship, the main focus would be on tactical combat in a dungeon-exploration RPG. One of the issues with traditional SRPGs, including Tactics Ogre, which had a deep influence on us, is that it takes a long time to experience the real fun of the game. We wanted to make the game engaging right from the start. Additionally, we aimed to make Crawl Tactics as clear as possible through tooltips and UI, so that players could enjoy the game without needing a manual.
